Having worked in industry as well in private practice for several well known law firms, Matthias founded his own IP law firm in 2001 since he believed that legal advice should be service oriented and customized to each client‘s specific needs.
Matthias is well experienced not only in prosecution, but also in opposition, litigation, invalidity and infringement proceedings in various technical fields in Germany and Switzerland. He also advises on licensing, antitrust law, copyright law and R & D contracts
In addition, Matthias advises his clients regarding FTOs, M&A, IP due diligence and is helping his clients to develop bespoke IP strategies. Matthias takes a personal interest in wine law, cultivating his family’s vineyard in Hungary and is one of the few German members of the Wine Law Society.
As Chairman of the Patent Law Group of the German Chemical Society (GDCh) and as an advisor to the Dres.-Volker-und-Elke-Münch-Stiftung, he is also involved in promoting science and research in the field of chemistry.
